Drama at Northern Theatre
The work we do in Drama covers all aspects of Theatre from Shakespeare to Pantomime. We offer group classes to improve technique and build confidence as well as private lessons for graded examination preparation in Speech and Drama and Acting.

We enter our students for examinations with LAMDA and Trinity/Guildhall exam boards twice a year and our results are excellent – 98% pass rate last year with many at Distinction/Honours levels.
As well as graded examinations we also run a BTEC in Performing Arts (Edexcel) course (Level 2). This course can be taken over one year (achieving the Level Two Extended Certificate worth 2 x GCSE passes at A* - C) or two years (achieving the Level Two First Diploma, worth 4 x GCSE passes at A* - C).
Last year our students achieved 100% pass rate with all students graded at Merit or Distinction. These courses are open to any student aged 14+ including those adults who wish there had been a course like this when they were younger!
